Limited Edition Arnold Palmer '1954' Driver #0002 with Palmer Signature on Sole
Contained in this lot is a special persimmon driver, #002 manufactured to commemorate Arnold Palmer and his history 1954 season. Along with his gold colored facsimile signature is '1954 Limited Edition 0002' encircled on the driver's sole. The 1954 US Amateur champion was crowned after a long, gritty week of match play 1-up after 36 holes. That weeks event was contested at The Country Club of Detroit, and it is what Mr. Palmer considers the turning point of his career. This club is in good condition, with small blemishes on its crown. It is 43" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.
