Jamie Anderson Long Nose Driver Stamped J. Anderson with Lambskin Grip - 44” Tall
Born in St. Andrews, Anderson became involved in golf caddying at a young age. Exploration of the game lead him to becoming the greenskeeper at the Old Course, crafting long nose clubs as well. He passed away at the age of 63 in 1905 in Fife, Scotland. His playing career saw him become Champion Golfer of the Year in 1877 and hold the title until 1879. This club is a fine example of his work and has been preserved well. Additional intrigue is given to the wood color contrast between the face and remainder of headvery good condition. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.
