Jack Nicklaus & Gary Player Signed 2003 Presidents Cup Flag Presentation JSA ALOA
2003 marked the 5th playing of the Presidents Cup. The matches took place at Fancourt Hotel in George, Western Cape, South Africa. Captaining the International team was South African native Gary Player, who would square off against United States Team captain Jack Nicklaus. Friends and competitors, Nicklaus and Player led their respective teams to a 17-17 point draw. After three playoff holes they decided to share the honors for the 2003 Presidents Cup victor. In this lot you will find a presentation featuring a Presidents Cup flag signed by both captains in black sharpie just above and below the tournament logo. Matted with the flag is a picture of Nicklaus and Player from the 2003 Presidents Cup and a nameplate with that information. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
