Jack Nicklaus Signed Oakmont Country Club Logo Golf Ball - Site of 1st Major Win
Jack Nicklaus was a force to be reckoned with on the golf course, as evidenced by his record 18 Major wins. The rivalry between Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer officially began at the 1962 US Open contested at Oakmont C.C. The pair battled it out in an 18 hole playoff, the Golden Bear coming out on top by 3 strokes to claim the title. Nicklaus has autographed this golf ball with a pure "10" signature, placing it below the Oakmont logo. Site of Jack's first professional win 55 years ago. The number of signed golf balls in tribute to this win are significantly harder to locate in comparison to the more readily found Masters logo golf balls.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph, and their paperwork of authenticity will come with this lot.
