Jack Nicklaus Signed 1963 ABC 'Challenge Golf' Contract
Jack Nicklaus' signature is as timeless as he is. The Golden Bear is looked at by fans, experts and the record books as the greatest golfer to ever swing a club. Contained in this offering is his signed contract for ABC 'Challenge Golf' which appeared in only Nicklaus' second professional season. In a time in which each and every letter was formed and legible, Nicklaus's exquisite penmanship on this contract included a seldom seen 'W" middle initial that is short for William of course. ABC broadcast of 'Challenge Golf' spanned 13 episodes and included Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and other top golfers of the time period. This blue ballpoint pen signature grades a 9/10. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authentication comes with this lot.
