Jack Fleck's 1965 Masters Contestant Pin - Jack Nicklaus' 2nd Masters Victory
Jack's -17 surpassed the best score posted by Hogan a little more than 10 years prior. That record stood the test of time and was not to be surpassed until over 30 years later when a golfer by the name of Tiger Woods stepped into Augusta National. This 1965 Masters Contestant Pin would please any collector. With only 91 contestants appearing in the 1965 Masters, this red and white 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" plastic badge is highly elusive to Masters collectors. With badge #1 going to the past years champion each badge is then issued according to when the player shows up for the Masters and registers for the tournament. In 1965, Fleck received #42 as would also be listed on the Masters pairing sheet from that year. With original pin still in place, this contestants pins memorable Augusta National design packs a big punch in the way of Masters collectables.
