Following his win over Ben Hogan at the 1955 U.S. Open, Jack Fleck was overwhelmed with endorsement offers. One of those came from Dunlop to endorse their golf ball line. They had already signed Ed Furgol the 1954 U.S. Open champ(he appears as third person in photo on right, with Vincent Richards Dunlop Vice President in center, and Fleck on the left). Richards success was preceded by a Hall of Fame Tennis career. He rose to #2 in the World Tennis rankings twice, was the Olympic gold medal winner in singles and doubles Tennis at the 1924 games, and was a doubles champion at the French and U.S. Opens as well as Wimbledon. Richards however would pass away at a young age in 1959, making him a challenging Tennis Hall of Fame signature to obtain in any format. His is autograph is very scarce on signed photographs. This image has been signed to Jack Fleck and his wife, "To Jack + Lynn Best Regards".

This autograph has been reviewed by James Spence Authentication (JSA) and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on September 28th with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
