1948 Los Angeles Open Contestant Pin - Jack Fleck
Jack Fleck's contestant's pin from the 1948 Los Angeles Open measures 1 1/4" diameter. Ben Hogan in early 1948 defended his Los Angeles Open title from '47. He would return to Riviera Country Club in June to win again this time the stakes were even high, his first of four U.S. Open Championship. This marked Hogan's third win at Riviera in 18 months good enough for the historical significant course to be nicknamed from that time on "Hogan's Alley".
Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on September 28th with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
