J. Fairweather Female Cabinet Card - Ellice Place - St. Andrews N.B.
This lot features an 4 1/8" x 6 1/2" cabinet card. The photographer J. Fairweather captured this photo of a female golfer, club in hand, sitting on the course of St. Andrews. The height of popularity of cabinet cards was from the 1870-1890's with the studios conceiving of themselves as image production facilities, and photography simply the most common and least expensive option for an individual seeking a likeness. Presents in excellent condition.
