Horton Smith, Rod Munday, & others September 1945 St. Andrews Original Photo
The setting was St. Andrews, Horton Smith and his fellow servicemen took to the links in uniform during the tail end of WWII in September 1945. This is an original photo, stamped and inscribed by pencil on its reverse. That copyright stamp being from the Star Photos Perth, the Institute of British Photographers. Smith was drafted and served during the war, similar to other prominent professional golfers Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and Lloyd Mangrum. "St. Andrews Scotland Sept. 1945" is the identifier on its reverse. 4 1/4" x 6 1/2"
