Henry Cotton Autographed 3x5 Card

Great Britain's greatest player since the days of Harry Vardon. After 10 straight American victories in the British Open, Cotton broke the string when he won in 1934. He won again in 1937 and for a third time in 1948. He captained the British Ryder Cup teams in 1947 and 1953. He seldom competed in the United States (only twice in U.S. Open 1931 and '56 and only three times in Masters 1948,'56 and '57). This factor and his passing in 1987 before the rise in popularity of golf autographs has made the signature of this World Golf Hall of Famer a treasured addition to many collections. This example of the Cotton autograph presents clearly on a 3x5 index card, and has been reviewed by James Spence Authentication (JSA). Their letter of authenticity will come with this lot.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on December 7th with extended bidding to follow.
