After a 1914 trip back to the United States, Harry Vardon expressed his opinion of the state of golf in America. He was disappointed to say the least, citing examples of little improvement from what he observed in 1900 during his prior trip. A member of The Great Triumvirate with JH Taylor and James Braid, Vardon won the Open Championship on six occasions, as well as the 1900 US Open. These pages have detached and contain tape.
