George Low Signed Buzzard 600 Personal Putter
This Buzzard 600 putter is signed by the maker, George "Geo" Low, in black marker. Low was a professional golfer who broke Byron Nelson's streak of 11 straight wins on the PGA Tour in 1945. The son of a Scottish immigrant and fellow professional, Low was often regarded as one of the greatest putters in the sport. Along with gambling and hustling on the course, Low lent his putting knowledge to fellow golfers, specifically Arnie. Palmer attributed his putting in the 1960 Masters to advice Low had given him on putting. In the late 1940s, Low started making putters for Sportsman and Bristol golf. Jack Nicklaus used a Low putter in the prime of his career. This lot features a putter in excellent condition that would add nicely to any collection.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
