Gene Sarazen Signed 1964 Masters 'Rain Rain Go Away' Original Wire Photo - Sarazen Collection
From the Augusta National Golf clubhouse second floor balcony vantage point is this signed original wire photo of Gene Sarazen playing weatherman in his jacket complete with his 1964 Masters badge affixed on his collar the Wednesday before play began. Arnold Palmer would go on to win his fourth Masters that week, then a record. The Squire is depicted in this crystal clear, candid shot above the terrace from his personal collection - perhaps signing the wire photograph with verso stampings and caption in approval. 8 x 10." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. A signed letter of provenance from Mary Ann Sarazen will come with this lot.
