Referred to as 'The gentleman farmer from Brookfield Center, Connecticut, with the credentials The Ryder Cup Star and Former British and American Open Titleholder,' Gene Sarazen in this original wire photo is seen putting at the 1937 Chicago Open held at Medinah Country Club. This is a crystal clear OVERSIZE 15 x 12" wire photo with its caption still intact. A signed letter of provenance from Mary Ann Sarazen will come with this lot.
