Francis Ouimet Signed Ltd Ed 'A Game of Golf' 1932 Book #73 with Rare Original Slipcase
While many consider Bobby Jones to be the greatest amateur golfer ever to play, Francis Ouimet is known as the "father of amateur golf" in the United States. Ouimet won the 1913 U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1914 and 1931. Here we have Ouimet's signature inside this 1932 limited edition #73 'A Game of Golf' book with its original cover included. The original slipcase cover being included is a rare addition, and it shows limited signs of wear while it did its job of protecting this limited edition book. Of particular note on this slipcase are the very fragile original paper title identifiers which are seldom found in attached and undamaged condition. Francis Ouimet left his classic signature inside the book in black fountain pen. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
