Dan Jenkins Signed Golf Ball
On March 7, 2019 the sports world, and specifically golf world, lost a well-known and humorous member of the media. Dan Jenkins first covered The Masters golf tournament in 1951, the year that Ben Hogan won for the first time at Augusta National. Jenkins and his typewriter were there representing the Fort Worth Press for that tournament. With Ben Hogan being a Texan, Jenkins beat on the winner made his first tournament a great success. Dan Jenkins then covered every Masters Tournament for the next 68 years. He covered a remarkable 231 total major-championships along the way. This golf ball is vintage and includes Dan Jenkins' signature in blue sharpie. It should be noted that Dan Jenkins was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2012, and deserving so. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
