Craig Wood, Guldahl, Hogan & Others Signed Vintage 1941 Wood Fold Seat
Spectating a professional golf tournament is nearly a sport in itself. Because of this, different decades have featured different 'state-of-the-art' items to get the best view of the action. While periscopes and binoculars have come and gone (for the most part), portable seating has always been there in one form or another. Here is a wood fold seat from 1941 that was signed by 21 elite golfers of the day including exceedingly difficult Masters champion signatures Craig Wood and Ralph Guldahl. The signatures were done with mostly pencil on the circular seat and then shellacked, much like a Babe Ruth signed baseball might have been treated for preserving purposes in that day. The dimensions of this Stafford-Johnson 'Kan-O'-Seat' are 35" tall, with a 9" diameter. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their FULL letter of authenticity #Z56333 will come with this lot.
AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, June 16th (Father's Day) with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
