Classic National Golf Day 11x14 Broadside Advertising Poster/Flyer - 15th Annual

In 1952 the PGA founded National Golf Day, a day to celebrate the great game of golf. Each year the talented few that posted a score bettering the tour pro on National Golf Day receive a small medal coin and accompanying coin holder for their achievement. In 1966 This event took place at Firestone Country Club and included two of the previous year's major winners, Gary Player and Dave Marr. In this lot you will find an original advertisement poster for the NBC televised event. One of the main sponsors that year was soda company 7 Up. The font, colors and composition of the sturdy poster are indicative of that time period's advertising.
