Vintage Mashie Niblick w/ Unknown Maker

There is a single, small hole drilled in the head next to the previous owner's GRC stamp. The rut iron features a smooth face. Rut irons were used just for that, to escape a rut that was left by a cart or a variety of other activities that often shared the golf course with the golfers of the time. It is customary that a rut iron carries a smaller, more rounded iron head. There is nicking present, caused by the rough terrain that it was used in. 36" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
