Chi Chi Rodriguez's 1981 William D. Richardson Memorial Trophy Plaque Given by GWA

The Golf Writers Association of America hands out the William D. Richardson Memorial Trophy each year to an individual as their site states "Given to recognize an individual who has consistently made an outstanding contribution to golf. Richardson, of The New York Times, was instrumental in the founding of the GWAA." Notable previous winners include President Eisenhower, Bob Jones, Francis Ouimet, Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Walter Hagen & others. This plaque carries much significance in the golf community, in the trophy cases of the most esteemed golfers over the history of the game since 1947 - each before 1981 listed on this award. Chi Chi's image is on the trophy plaque along with Richardson's. 10" x 15." A signed letter of provenance from John Foley will come with this lot.
