Champion Jack Nicklaus Signed 1973 PGA Championship Tournament Used #2 Flag - Record 12th Major
A museum-worthy golf treasure of desirable proportion! Off of hole #2 at Jack Nicklaus' 12th major championship, the 1973 PGA Championship, is this highly appealing tournament-used pin flag signed by the great champion Jack Nicklaus. This significant triumph saw Nicklaus' set the record with his 12th professional Major surpassing Walter Hagen's previous record of 11! Of more importance to Jack with that win, were the 14 Majors (counting U.S. Amateur wins) which enabled him to surpass his boyhood hero Bobby Jones for the record under that measuring stick of career success. 'Canterbury', its shield emblem, and the PGA of America logo share this yellow and blue screen-printed flag with the hole "2" designation in the center - a work of art in itself. Significant usage has been recorded on this prized hobby entrant satisfying a single collector of the many pining for Jack Nicklaus major win tournament-used flags. Please note there is a sticker in the bottom right corner. With this tournament Jack became the all-time major champion and 50 years and six majors later Jack remains atop the podium. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
