Cary Middlecoff Signed Golf Ball

Middlecoff blitzed the field to win the 1955 Masters by seven strokes over Ben Hogan. This was no surprise victory for Cary Middlecoff remains one of the most underrated golfers in the history of the game, despite his World Golf Hall of Fame status. A reason for this oversite may be the short window he was at the top of his game, and also that he was overshadowed by flashier stories in the 1950's mainly Ben Hogan and Sam Snead. In this time period, along with his Masters title Middlecoff also captured the 1949 and 1956 U.S. Open Championships. His 28 PGA Tour titles set the standard for for most victories by any player in the 1950's. Middlecoff left his signature in black marker boldly.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their FULL letter of authenticity #Z28099 will come with this lot.
