Byron Nelson Signed Ltd Ed Portrait Print #10/30 - Framed

'Iron' Byron Nelson used a fine point black sharpie writing implement to add his signature and stamp of approval to this limited edition portrait print of Nelson done by artist Jose in 2000 and numbered 10/30. The 11-consecutive tournament winner in 1945 and two-time Masters champion in 1937 and 1942, Nelson is depicted in his white tam-o-shanter hat, matching button down shirt, accent tie and looking to the right side of the composition on a royal blue offsetting background. This piece of art was a gift of appreciation from the then PGA President Jack Connelly to past in our consignor Will Mann. The gold tone nameplate below centered on the wood frame is engraved: 'Presented to Will Mann: Thank you for your service and support to our Association and to the game. Jack Connelly President, PGA of America 2000-2002.' James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. 34 1/2 x 37" A signed letter of provenance from Will Mann comes with this lot.
