Bussey & Co Putter GGB Patent Steel Socket Long Blade Putter - Sewn Bussey's Grip Handle
George Bussey was born in 1829. He was a saddler and a gunsmith by trade and moved to London in 1851. In his London firm, Bussey obtained patents for many things including golf items. He was one of the first to obtain a patent for a grip. He used a single folded piece of leather with stitching up the back of the shaft. The idea was to prevent unravelling and to aid the placement and grip of the palms. Featured in this lot is another one of of his many patents; a GGB steel socket long blade putter. It measures 34" to the heel.

3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
