On September 10, 1930 Bobby Jones (The King of Sports in 1930) met Ty Cobb (The Retired King of Baseball) for a game of golf at the Highland Estates Country Club in South Carolina. At this time, Jones had already captured the first three legs of the "Grand Slam" and was 17 days from his victory at the U.S. Amateur that gave him all four titles in the "Slam". This Type One Associated Press wire photo carries only one dating stamp (Sep 15 1930). This historical wire photo from the height of Jones career remains in top condition with two flaws mentioned for accuracy: Slight crease upper left corner, and chip to lower left corner. This 7 X 9 image gives an indepth look at the two "Georgia Peaches" that highlighted the Golden Age of Sport.
