Bobby Jones & 'Caddy' 1923 August Montell Photo Piece - Framed
A beautifully framed 'Bobby Jones and Caddy' photo piece, dated August 1923, is available to bidders here. The frame measures 15 3/4" x 12 1/2" and is elegantly designed and presents well. Any photos of Bobby Jones off the golf course typically are a coveted item. The photo is facsimile signed by Montell. Montell immigrated from Sicily in the late 1800's and found a passion for photography and entrepreneurship that led to him photographing the land in Augusta as it transformed into the Augusta National Golf Club. His nephew Frank Christian Sr. took over the business in 1927 and later became the official photographer for the ANGC, working closely with Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts. This photo is not an original.
AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, June 16th (Father's Day) with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
