Bobby Jones Signed 1930's G.P.C. Overnight Postcard
What is a car worth? You have to delve deeper - is it a Hyundai or a Lamborghini? The same goes with Bobby Jones autographs. This is the Lamborghini of Jones' signatures vintage from the height of his fandom in the 1930's with a deep, rich black steel-tip fountain pen autograph. The value of signed government postcards remains in good standing through all economic cycles. As one of the most collected mediums, these 3"X 5" signed postcards are a solid investment. The one thing to remember when collecting these signed postcards is that it's the vintage ones that hold the value. This example carries the one cent postage markings with rates raised to two cents in 1951. Also of note is the importance that the G.P.C. medium for autographs always delivers an autograph which does not contain print lines through it as is often seen with the far less pleasing lined 3x5 examples. Assessed for authenticity and encapsulated (#83586823) by noted autograph experts P.S.A. Jones will always be recognized as the "Greatest Amateur in Golf History", the "Father of the Augusta National and Masters Tournament" and in his own way the Babe Ruth of Golf.
