Bobby Jones' Personal 1930 at East Lake with Richard Gordin Letter
Posed during his Grand Slam and final year of competitive golf in 1930, Bobby Jones was captured at his home course of East Lake CC. Eyewitness account from George Trevor sportswriter for the New York Sun would phrase Jones' four Major triumphs in 1930 as such, "stormed the impregnable quadrilateral of golf." The reverse contains the pencil notations '1930' and 'pg 155 of The bobby Jones Story - East Lake.' 4 1/2" x 3 1/2". As seen on pg 155 of The bobby Jones Story with the caption "Bobby Jones at the height of his career." This photo comes with the letter of provenance from Richard Gordin, derived from Jones' son's business associate Jean Marshall.
