Bobby Jones 'Five Immortals' Print For Sports Illustrated Signed By Artist Robert Riger
Artist Robert Riger was often leaned on by leading sport magazine 'Sports Illustrated' throughout the years, known as one of the finest with the pencil medium when it came to portraits. Created with outstanding texture and great use of lights and darks throughout, Riger finished this piece with a standing Bobby Jones holding an iron. A small smirk on Jones' face is more than he normally exudes. The bottom lefthand corner of this detailed depiction was reserved for Robert Riger and Sports Illustrated's copyright. This 1960's piece shows its age with small imperfections on the paper surface in select locations. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
