Bobby Jones Photo at Hoylake for 1930 Open Championship
Held at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England, Bobby Jones defeated Leo Diegel and MacDonald Smith by two strokes to claim his third Open Championship and completed the second leg of his Grand Slam. Jones would then return to the United States and with the Open and Amateur to complete the improbable. This photo shows him mid swing with the Hoylake gallery watching on. The photo caption and markings are on the reverse of this wire photo.
