Bobby Jones 1976 Memorial Tournament Ltd Ed Porcelain Inaugural Honoree Plate
It had been 5 years after Bobby Jones had passed away, and Jack Nicklaus wanted to do something special. In Jack's inaugural Memorial Tournament, the honoree in memoriam was none other than Mr. Jones. Presented here is an 8 1/2" blue and white porcelain plate made in Denmark by B&G Copenhagen. A Bobby Jones post swing picture is strikingly shown on the front side, a great addition to any collection as it presents perfectly. The competition took place in 1976, and it saw Roger Maltbie win the inaugural Memorial tournament by defeating Hale Irwin on the fourth hole of a sudden death playoff.
