Bobby Jones 1926 Open Championship Qualifying Rounds Shot Depiction Presentation - Sunningdale Old Course

In 1926 Bobby Jones captured both the US Open title and was crowned 'Golfer of the Year' after defeating the field at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club. This piece depicts his two qualifying rounds, summarizing each hole and including the club Jones pulled out of his bag for each shot for that Open Championship. These rounds totaled 66 and 68 to advance to the Open Championship tournament. Bobby Jones hit an incredibly unlikely shot from the bunker on the 17th hole to seal his victory over Al Watrous by two stokes. This was Jones' first Open Championship title in his second attempt, and he was the first amateur to do it since 1897. It is framed 21" H x 21" W and in excellent condition. This piece will come with a signed letter from Historian Bob Denney of the PGA, proclaiming that this item comes from their collection.
