Ben Hogan (1949) & Sam Snead (1954) Signed TIME Magazines - Framed

The cover of Time Magazine in the 1940's and 50's was most often reserved for world leaders and royalty. Ben Hogan and Sam Snead fit neither when he received the honor for the January 10, 1949 and June 21, 1954 issues. Hogan had however risen to golf royalty in 1948 winning both the US Open and PGA championships and this made him magazine worthy when Time Magazine showed up at Riviera C.C. to cover his appearance at the PGA stop that January. Four pages were dedicated to him in the magazine including a time lapse sequence of his swing which had already reached mythic proportions. Within a month of this cover, his game at the height of success would come to a quick halt on a Texas highway in a near-fatal automobile accident. Snead had won all of his 7 major titles, with his final of three Masters wins only months prior. The issues of those classic Time Magazines are offered here complete and in good condition, please refer to pictures for an additional report. Sam Snead personalized his 'To Ann(?)
