Ben Hogan Signed 1953 US Open at Oakmont CC Program

The 1953 season marked Hogan's most dominate year of his career. His victory in the 1953 Open was also dominant, with Hogan firing an opening round 67 to establish a lead he held from start-to-finish as the only player to better par for the 72 holes (-5) posting a six shot win over second-place finisher Sam Snead. The win at Oakmont Country Club in 1953 marked Hogan's fourth and final U.S. Open triumph. This significant Hogan win program shows some wear along the spine, but is free from rips and tears with all pages intact. There is a slight crease on the top right corner of the cover. A great example of the 1953 U.S. Open program is offered here, but being signed by none other than Hogan makes this piece a necessity. No U.S. Open, or Hogan collection is complete without this cornerstone present. Program measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2". Front cover and first page are attached via a piece of tape on interior pages near top.

James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed Ben Hogan's autograph and their letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
