Ben Hogan Signed 1951 US Open Championship at Oakland Hills Program

To conquer the field of 162 golfers competing in the 1951 U.S. Open meant that you had to be a player of supreme talent, it also required that you achieve at the long, narrow and rugged Oakland Hills Country Club. Ben Hogan did, in what he claimed was his greatest round of golf. Hogan was one of only two players to break par on the week, shooting 67 on Sunday to claim the Open Championship. It gave "Bantam Ben" back-to back U.S. Open victories (6th of 9 career major wins). Offered here is a program from that tournament, and Hogan has signed it in pencil. The program is in excellent condition with only the slightest wear to the front cover. This is a must have piece for any collection.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
