Ben Hogan Signed 1947 Letter Accepting Ryder Cup Team Member Selection
"I am extremely happy of this award, and I know that it will mean even more to me in the years to come," Ben Hogan wrote to Ed Dudley choosing him as a member of the 1947 US Ryder Cup Team. Hogan Goes on to talk about a planned hunting trip with Jimmy Demaret, Walter Hagen and Craig Wood as choices for Honorary Captains, as well as many other interesting subjects that were on Ben Hogan's mind. This letter is written to Dudley on MacGregor letterhead and signed by Ben Hogan on the second page to conclude the letter. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authentication comes with this lot. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
