Babe Zaharias' Personal Used c.1940's Home Folda-Fairway Golf Shot Analyzer
Manufactured by the A.E. Peterson Mfg. Co. of Glendale, California, designed for indoor use, this remarkable device told the golfer how far the golf ball had been struck and its direction. This vintage 1940's Folda Fairway Home Golf Course practice machine/shot analyzer. It has a wooden receptacle with a ball suspended from it that can be with a club and the shot can be measured for distance and accuracy. It is all original. It is mounted on a plywood sheet with 4 screws. It can be easily mounted using the 4 screws or bolts. It measures 36" high by 15" wide by 12" deep. It was made by A.E. Peterson Manufacturing Co. of Glendale, Ca. It works by ball being struck & going around into one of the slots reading: Fairway, Hook, Slice, or Out of Bounds. There is also a hydraulic on it which allows wood section to move when ball is hit and that moves against pin showing distance in yards. The ball stops against a black rubber sheet that is in the wooden receptacle (see pictures). It is in excellent condition with only minor wear consistent with normal use. It has its original ball which is marked Folda Fair & Cadwell Cover. This item will be shipped taken apart in three separate pieces. A signed letter of provenance from The Babe Zaharias Foundation comes with this lot.
