Babe Zaharias Signed 1948 'Championship Golf Book' to 'Timber Wolf'

Here we present a very desirable signed copy of 'Championship Golf' title by the author and great golfer and Olympian Babe Didrikson Zaharias to her personal friend 'Timber Wolf' who was either a professional wrestler and friend of her husband George or their hunting guide. Her flowing, large format first and both last name(s) ballpoint pen signature is stunning and deserves a second, and third look. Considered by many to the greatest female athlete of the early 20th century, Babe won a two gold medals at the 1932 Summer Olympic Games and became a 10x Major golf Champion, including 3 U.S. Open Championships, after her storied amateur sports career. She passed far too young at the age of 45 in 1956. A difficult and highly desirable autograph to own, only elevated on this tough medium and with the time stamp below the strong signature also in her hand "August 9, 1949." This books is in good condition, without is original dust jacket. James Spence Authenticated has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity will accompany this lot.
