Arnold Palmer Signed & Inscribed Match Used Caddy Bib From Final Open Championship at St. Andrews - 1995
The final walk over Swilken Bridge as a player for Arnold Palmer was a moment that will long live in history books. An emotional few steps, peaking with a raise of the visor and nod of appreciation to the people of St Andrews. Throughout the Friday (final) round, and just out of the iconic shot, was Arnold Palmer's bright red Open Championship caddie bib over Wayne Beck's blue windbreaker - wearing it proudly for the last time and now impressively presented in this lot.
The reference photo in this listing is a chunky shot out of the Old Course thick stuff by Palmer perhaps, but more importantly showing Beck and this 1995 caddie bib by Arnie's side, in action. Across the back was the jet black announcement of 'The King's' presence 'PALMER.' Arnold Palmer carefully penned this bib on the nameplate with not only his legible black sharpie scribe on the left side, but a matching 'St Andrews 1995' notation on the right for his caddy that was by his side. Two lines of Velcro secures the nameplate to the bib, as shown in the accompanying lot photos. There are welcomed signs of usage from the Friday, second and Palmer's final, round of the 1995 Open Championship. Prominently elevated in the upper echelon of a threesome of integral collecting categories is Arnie's Final Open Caddy Bib - those being Arnold Palmer, Open Championship and the continuously record setting Game-Used arena. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
This item comes from the collection of the late Wayne Beck, a 45 year tour caddie who carried the bag for not only Arnold Palmer, but David Graham, Andy Bean, Fuzzy Zoeller, and many more.

2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
