Arnold Palmer Signed Purported Tournament Used & Hit Golf Ball - 'To Ted' with
Tournament used items from the great of the game always add to the intrigue and story of a piece of golf memorabilia. Contained is a ball that was purportedly retrieved from out of bounds after Arnold Palmer hit it there at the 1992 PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis Missouri. A spectator from that tournament was proud of his discovery and wrote to the Arnold Palmer Management company to share the news. Their response is located in this lot, as well as the signed ball to Fred from Arnold Palmer and his ticket from the tournamrent. Letter from Arnold Palmer Golf Management Company is dated August 27, 1992 and states" 'This letter certifies that, to the best of my knowledge, this was the ball I hit out of bounds on the ninth hole on Friday, August 14, 1992 at the PGA Championship in St Louis, Missouri at Bellerive Country Club' with facsimile signature. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
