Arnold Palmer Signed Original Hand Painted Latrobe Plate - Historic Bridge
One of a kind original Arnold Palmer painted ceramic plate that has also been signed by the King himself. This item was auctioned off for charity to benefit the Latrobe Art Center. This exceptional piece was consigned by a personal friend of Arnie. Palmer will live on for his contributions to the game of golf as well as the love he had for charity. This piece is an excellent example of that. Palmer recreated his beloved Latrobe Bridge on this ceramic plate. Palmer's love for the game of golf started with his father, "Deacon" Palmer, who was the greenskeeper and head professional at the Latrobe Country Club. Arnie spent a lot of time as a child following his Deacon around and learning the ins and outs of golf through his hard work at LCC

Arnold purchased Latrobe Country Club in 1971 having had a big part, along with his father, in the expansion of the course from 9 to 18 holes. In lieu of rain shelters, Palmer constructed the red covered bridges that are now synonymous with Pennsylvania golf. Palmer truly loved his state, only leaving in the colder months for the sunshine of Florida or California. Owning an extremely unique piece like this will take any collection to new heights.
