Antique Spalding Dedstop Waterfall Deep Groove Wood Shaft Pitcher
Offered only in 1920-1921 before being outlawed by the R&A, the single waterfall design had affected the golf world tremendously. The single waterfall scoring was a refined version of William Reach's double waterfall idea. Having the ribs a more pronounced arc made the controlling of a short shot easier. After notorious golfer's such as Francis Ouimet and Howard Whitney (President of the USGA) began stating their displeasure over the "Jerko" club, it was eventually disbarred from play in the following months. This club is referenced on page 274 in 'The Clubmakers Art' - Vol I - 2nd Edition - Jeffrey Ellis
