A. Massy Special Brassie - Shaft Stamp 'Importe D'Angleterre'

Here we have a club made by the great French golfer Arnaud Massy. Massy won the Open Championship in 1907, the first non-Briton to do so. Massy married a Scot and is buried in Edinburgh. He was an apprentice under the famed clubmaker James Hutchison. This brassie features the "A. Massy Special" head stamp and the "Importe D'Angleterre" shaft stamp which translates to "imported from England to France."

The club measures 41" from bottom of shaft to end.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, December 11th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
