A. G. Spalding & Bros Special Driver- London
Regardless of the brands in your bag or your collection, A. G. Spalding & Bros likely had a part in the club's creation. At the turn of the 20th Century, golf had stirred mild interest in the United States, and A.G. Spalding & Brothers sporting goods saw an opportunity. The company was already selling golf balls when, in 1905, it became the first in America to offer its own brand of golf clubs. Here we have a special driver made by Spalding & Bros that measures 39" from hosel to end and presents in good condition. The head stamp reads "London" as well as the maker.
