A.J. Reach Co. Willie "Mac" Socket Wood with Brass Sole Plate
Alfred 'A.J.' Reach was born in 1840 to a father that was a professional Cricket player. The family moved to Brooklyn, where A.J. Reach grew his passion for the game of baseball, one of the first to play professionally. After his playing days ceased he opened up a sporting goods store and eventually became the owner and president of the Philadelphia Phillies. Reach then sold his company to Spalding in the beginning of the 1920's, where much of the A.J. Reach golf clubs were produced. This club is in good condition, with nicking on sole plate consistent of age. 42" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
