Course flown flags from Walker Cup matches are of extreme difficulty to obtain. Offered in this lot is that seldom seen chance to obtain one of the course used flags from the 40th Walker Cup matches held in 2005 at Chicago Golf Club. Team USA was victorious over the Team Great Britain & Ireland squad by the closest of margins 12 1/2 to 11 1/2. This flag still retains its plastic cylinder on the left side for proper mounting to the pin. This relic of the match has been signed over its entire surface by the complete rosters of both competing squads and their captains (See below for complete list of signors). This item has been reviewed by James Spence Authentication (JSA) and their letter of authenticity will come with this item. As good as it gets, and the first time The Golf Auction has been able to offer a Walker Cup item of this distinction.
