2001 Walker Cup Pewter Julep Cup Given to David Eger
David was a player on the 2001 walker cup team, cup was given to players and VIPS. The 2001 Walker Cup was the 38th Walker Cup Match, and played at Ocean Forest Golf Club in Sea Island, Georgia. The event was won by Great Britain and Ireland 15 to 9, marking the first time that Great Britain & Ireland retained the Cup. This cup has a diameter of 3 3/8" diameter and stands 4 1/8" tall. The bottom reads 'Salisbury Pewter's - Tennessee Julep Cup - Handcrafted Fine Pewter

He turned professional in 1978, and in 1982 he went to work as a golf administrator. He served as Director of Tournament Administration for the PGA Tour from 1982–92; Senior Director of Rules and Competition for the USGA from 1992–95; and as Vice-President of Competition for the PGA Tour from 1995-96. As a golf administrator, Eger kept his skills intact by playing competitively as an amateur, winning the 1988 U.S. Mid-Amateur and the North and South Amateur in 1991. He was also a three-time Walker Cup team member and two-time semi-finalist in the U.S. Amateur. Eger won the 2003 MasterCard Classic — the first Champions Tour event ever held in Mexico, he won his second title in 2005 by shooting a final-round 67 in the inaugural Boeing Greater Seattle Classic. This money clip is not a replica or knock-off, but is authentic instead, given to all competitors.
