1976 Jack Nicklaus World Series Of Golf Winning Tourney 2 Golf Ball with PGA Stationery

Tournament winning golf balls represent a significant part of the upper echelon of golfing game-used equipment. The white ball that millions of spectators watch roll into the 18th hole on Sunday was once an item that patrons would run to retrieve prior to security putting a stop to that once order was restored. This offering is for Jack Nicklaus' marked "JACK NICKLAUS J" MacGregor Tourney 2 golf ball that is from the PGA of America archives, used to win the 1976 World Series of Golf at Firestone Golf Club. 1976 was the first year that The World Series of Golf was an official money event. Nicklaus won handedly, defeating second place Hale Irwin by four strokes to take home the $100k winner's share. This ball has some wear consistent of tournament usage, as you will see in the pictures under further inspection. Nicklaus marked his personal ball with ink dots on either side of the "2." Dated February 23, 1977, the PGA Tour stationary reads " Jack Nicklaus Winning Ball From The 1976 World Series Of Golf At Firestone Country Club, Akron, OH". Also includes mailing envelope

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
