1974 World Golf Hall of Fame Enshrinement Silver Medals Set #3 - VP John Derr Collection
Then executive VP John Derr commissioned the medals as part of the inaugural 1974 World Golf Hall of Fame Enshrinement ceremony. This limited run is set #3 manufactured by Hamilton Mint. Accompanying the medals is an original press release announcing the inaugural WGHOF ceremony which features the names of the 13 inductees as represented by the medals. Also included is Derr's handwritten notes made during the rehearsal for the HOF ceremony. These fine silver medals are from the formal dedication and initial enshrinement ceremony from Sept. 11, 1974. Inductee silver medals represent the following golfers:
